Port Blair, May 23: As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Swachhta Pakhwada, the Indian Coast Guard conducted a cleanliness drive and tree plantation programme at various units in these islands from May 16. The event commenced with the awareness programme on the importance of ongoing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Volunteers from service and civilian personnel enthusiastically participated in the campaign and provided impetus towards the idea of neat and clean surrounding area thereby cleaner environment.
