Port Blair, May 20: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen A K Singh (Retd), has directed the Chief Secretary, Pr Secretary (Revenue) and Deputy Commissioners of the three districts of the A&N Islands to identify farmers who have suffered crop loss because of lack of rains in last few months.
He has also directed the DCs to work out & propose measures to mitigate the distress, including extending financial relief as per the laid out norms.
