Port Blair, May 11: To facilitate market-goers, business community, employees and general public the Transport department has started additional Bus Service at night from Aberdeen Bazaar to Chatham to ensure connectivity to the last ferry for Bambooflat and Garacharama. The move will satisfy the long pending demand of the Chambers of Commerce of the Islands and persons employed in the shops of Aberdeen.
Accordingly, the additional bus from Bus Terminus to Chatham via Goal Ghar will depart at 9.05 pm and from Chatham to Bus Terminus via Goal Ghar from 9.30 pm. Another bus from Bus Terminus to Garacharma School will depart at 9.35 pm and return to Bus terminus at 10 pm. Moreover, additional trips will be provided from Bambooflat Jetty to Wimberlygunj giving connectivity to the last ferry service. Commuters have been requested to avail the facility.
