Port Blair, May 11: A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was facilitated by A & N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) in association with Blood Bank, G.B Pant Hospital which was organized by Nurses of G B Pant Hospital at Blood Bank on Monday. The nurses and volunteers voluntarily donated Blood on the occasion.
The VBD Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Shipra Paul, Director of Health Services along with Dr. S P Burma, Medical Superintendent, G B Pant Hospital. In her address, she said International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every year on 12th May. To mark this day our hospital’s nurses arranged a blood donation camp, as one of the events.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. R.K. Halder, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society. The camp was facilitated by Dr. Ganesh Samadder, Deputy Director (Blood Safety) and Dr. Sahil Seghal, Medical Officer (Blood Bank), G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
