Port Blair, Apr 25: A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp (VBD Camp) was conducted by A & N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) at PHC Ferrargunj on 25/4/2016. To mark the Inaugural day of PHC Ferrrargunj a Blood Donation camp was organized by officers and staff of PHC Ferrargunj.
The VBD Camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Shri Sandeep Biswas, Pramukh, Ferrargunj Samithi and guest of honour Shri Shyamal Kr. Jaidhar, Pradhan, Brindaban Panchayat in presence of Dr. Shabnam Salim Medical Officer (H). Dr. Ramya, Medical Officer in- Charge PHC Ferrargunj welcomed the chief guest. In the Camp IRBN Personnel, Police Personnel, Staff of STS department and students of community donated blood voluntarily. In the camp 31 persons were found to be fit to donate blood.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr. R.K. Halder, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society.
The camp was facilitated by Dr. Sahil Sehgal, Medical Officer (Blood Bank), G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair. He briefed the donors on various aspect and importance of blood donation.
The camp was coordinated by Smti Palwinder Kaur, Counsellor of A & N AIDS Control society.
