Port Blair, April 15: The Up-Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Mr Subir Chander has requested the intervention of the Lt. Governor to curb abrupt hike in fees by private schools in these islands. In a letter to the Lt. Governor, Mr Chander claimed that many private schools increase the fees at any point of time without any criteria and without providing additional services. Such abnormal hike in school has an adverse affect on parents particularly from the lower sections of the society. Necessary action should be taken by the administration in the interest of the students, said Mr Chander suggesting the Lt. Governor to constituted a Committee consisting of public representatives as member to decide the fee structure of private schools of these islands.
