Port Blair, Apt 10: A fire was reported on Saturday night from a CD shop, which is situated at a congested area of Junglighat. As soon as the matter was communicated to Fire Services, the Fire service Jawans reached the spot in no time and broke open the door of the shop and doused the fire very promptly.
Swift action of Fire Service averted a major tragedy as the area has many wooden buildings and shops. Sources said that the reason behind the fire was short circuit.
