Rangat, Apt 05: Just one day after Police Team lifted RSC T20 cup, the Rangat police team today defeated Udaya Star team of Diglipur by 86 run and won the Rangat Premier League-4 T20 cricket tournament on Monday.
Batting first, Police team made 203 runs in the allotted 20 overs and the team Udaya star, Diglipur while chasing, were all out by scoring 117 runs in 19.4 overs.
The winning team got a cash prize of Rs. 75,000 and runner up team got a cash prize of Rs. 50, 000. Mr Damodharan Pillai of the winning team who scored 94 runs from 38 balls was declared as Man of the match.
Mr Nagesh of Rangat team was declared as Man of the tournament who scored 207 runs and took 11 wickets. Mr. Tushar of Kadamtala declared as best batsman who scored 228 runs in the tournament.
Mr. Phillips of Rangat Boys team declared as best bowler who took 13 wickets in the tournament and finally fair play team award was given to MG College, Mayabunder.
