Port Blair, Mar 27: The Department of Civil Aviation, Andaman & Nicobar Administration with the assistance of Department of Information Technology has facilitated booking of tickets for the chartered flight for Port Blair – Chennai – Port Blair sector through Common Service Center (eDweep Kendra) in South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman District. The facility was launched on 23.03.2016 from 10:00 AM.
The response from the general public is overwhelming and total of 1159 tickets were booked through CSC counters in two days i.e., 23.03.2016 – 701 tickets within three hours and 26/03/2016 – 458 tickets within three hours. The tickets are booked on first come first basis in a transparent way. The Tehsil wise booking detail is as under:
