Port Blair, Feb 17: The last quarter final matches of the “Unity Cup Volleyball Championship – 2016, season – III was played on Tuesday. The Pradhan of Gram Panchayat, Chouldhari, Mr Mohan Halder was the chief guest on the occasion. In the contest, DYC Mithakhari defeated BYC Garacharma by 25-18, 23-25 & 26-28 and A&N Police beats Nancowrie in the straight sets
Four teams viz. Trisha Brothers, Garacharma, A & N Police, YFC Haddo and DYC, Mithakhari qualified for the semi final matches to be played on Feb 17 and 18, 2016. On Wednesday, DYC, Mithakhari will clash with A & N Police, while on Feb 18, YFC Haddo will meet with Trisha Brothers, Garacharma. The final match of the championship will be played on Feb 20.
The tournament is being organized by Youth Club Ograbraj in association with Gram Panchayat Mithakhari and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair. Supported by National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI)
