On the occasion of the 67th Republic Day, I extend my best felicitations and greetings to the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
On this day, in 1950, our Country became a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic: securing justice, liberty, equality and fraternity to the citizens of India. It is an occasion to remember our martyrs and heroes of our freedom struggle who made the supreme sacrifice for the country, as well as the founding fathers of our Constitution. Today, let us once again dedicate ourselves to the task of nation building, based on the ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India and take our country forward.
On this historic occasion, I join the islanders in praying for peace, prosperity and progress of the country.
