Port Blair, Jan 18: Shri Prakash Javadekar, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Environment, Forest and Climate Change, who is on a visit to these Islands called on the Lt Governor, Lt Gen A K Singh (Retd), at Raj Niwas on 18.01.2016.
All issues related to the Islands were discussed on the occasion and direction of forward movement decided. The Minister later attended the closing ceremony of ITF and won the hearts of the people with his surprise presence.
He conveyed the best wishes of the Prime Minister and assured the people of the Govt’s resolve to take Andaman on the path of prosperity and progress.
