Port Blair, Jan 13: The Directorate of Health Services in association with the Union Territory Health Mission organized a Healthy Baby Contest as part of the Island Tourism Festival at ITF Ground on Tuesday. The contest was held among children of three age-groups viz. 06 months to 1 year, 1 to 3 years and 3-5 years.
In the first category, Kumar Rapaka Vedanth, S/o Mr RK Kumar, R/o Dairy Farm, Kumari Lubana S Salim, D/o Mr Abdul Salim, R/o Dollygunj and Kumar R Rabi Raj, S/o Mr R Prasant Babu, R/o Lamba Line bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively, while in the 01-03 years category, Kumari Shreya Mall, D/o Mr Subir Mall, R/o Chakkargaon, Kumari Sonal Savanth, D/o Mr S Harish Kumar, R/o Pathergudda and Kumar Chirag Dev, R/o Mr Aditya Burma, R/o Aberdeen Bazar secured the first, second and third positions respectively. In the third category, Kumar Eric Nagaraj, S/o Mr S Nagaraj, R/o Lamba Line, Kumari Payel Mondal, D/o Sunil Mondal, R/o Sippighat and Kumari R Keerthi, D/o C Ravi Chandran, R/o Mazar Pahad were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
The prizes to winners of the contest will be awarded during the valedictory function of the Island Tourism Festival 2016 to be held at ITF Ground on Jan 18. Parents of the winners of the Healthy Baby Contest have been requested to be present at ITF Ground during the concluding ceremony to receive the prizes.
