Port Blair, Dec 22: For carrying out of urgent maintenance of all D.G. sets of 20 MW IPP Power Plant at Bambooflat by M/s. Suryrachakra Power Co. Ltd, the availability of power has been restricted in the grid.
As such, the Electricity Department will exercise rotational load shedding on as and when required basis between 8 am to 12 noon in Port Blair and South Andaman area on Dec 22, 2015. The electricity consumers have been requested to cooperate with the department.
Meanwhile, power supply will also remain suspended in some of the areas on Dec 23, 2015 from 8 amt o 10 am for urgent maintenance of T&D system. The areas to be affected by power disruption are Garacharma Sub-Station, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Corbyns’ Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad and part of Chakkergaon.
