Port Blair, Dec 09: The 31st Annual Athletic Meet of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir Secondary School (E.M.) Prothrapur, Port Blair was conducted in the school ground on 4th & 5th December 2015 with great pomp and show.
Smti Minati Biswas, Zilla Parisad Adhyaksha was the Chief Guest of Opening Ceremony and Smti. Saraswati Narayan Ex- Pradhan was the Guest of Honor in the forenoon session of 4th December 2015. With the traditional Puja Archana Vandana and Lighting of traditional lamp, physical demonstration, March Past etc. the athletic performance with Surya Namaskar the programme in full swing started. After a break of 1.30 hours for lunch the athletes again assembled on the ground and continued their performance till the end of the day.
The Chief Guest Smti Minati Biswas and Guest of Honor of the day appreciated the venture of students which were accomplished with Sanskar and Sanatan Culture. Both the dignitaries alongwith other guests and parents were spell bound to see the programme of students.
On the Closing Ceremony of the athletics on the 5th December 2015 the Chief Guest Smti Sheela Singh Chairperson PBMC was the Chief Guest and Smti Anita Puria a Social Worker was the Guest of Honor who praised the active performance of students and distributed prizes to them in association with other guests officers and parents. The programme ended at 6.30 PM. The students and all enjoyed the programme.”
