Port Blair, Nov 2: The Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Smt Minati Biswas, Up-Adhyaksh, Mr. Subir Chander, Executive Engineer and other officials visited Tushnabad and Collinpur Gram Panchayat recently to inspect progress of ongoing projects being executed by the Zilla Parishad in the areas.
The tem also reviewed the progress of construction of Community Hall at Tushnabad and inspected the site for construction of a new community hall at Bengali Basti.
At a separate function held at Govt. Secondary School, Manpur, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Adhyaksha, Up-Adhyaksh and Pradhan, Collinpur Panchayat discussed the various issues of Manpur School with members of the School Management Committee.
The Member of Parliament assured to provide 60 benches and desks each, V-Sat, Projectors and other equipment to start smart classes in the School
through MPLAD Fund. He also instructed the Chief Planning Officer, Education Department, to submit a detailed proposal immediately for the sanction of funds.
The Adhyaksha, Up-Adhyaksha of South Andaman Zilla Parishad and Pradhan, Collinpur Panchayat also planted saplings in the premises of Govt. Secondary School, Manpur.
