Port Blair, Apr 25: The Bharatiya Janta Party’s A & N State Unit today said that Mrs Maneka Gandhi has informed the unit that she has spoken to the Lt Governor of A & N Islands and the Chief Secretary of A & N Administration.
“Both of them have assured her that confiscated cows will not be kept for 7 days but there will be a fine so that the owners must take positive initiative to keep their cows in their houses. The LG and CS have also assured her that water and food troughs and shade will be made in the pound for which proper orders will be issued immediately,” a release from BJP office said here today.
