Port Blair, Aug 21: The five-day training programme on community based awareness on First Aid Fire fighting & Disaster preparedness & Medical First Aid” for general public, government employees of various departments, students etc. concluded on Friday in the conference hall of A & N Police Fire Service Training Centre at FS (HQs), Port Blair.
In his address as the chief guest, the Chief Fire Officer, A & N Islands, Mohammed Umar urged participants to utilize the knowledge and experience gained during the training in case of any eventuality in their localities. During the training, participants actively participated and stated that this training programme has built the capacity of the participants to respond on any emergency and to avoid any major mishap. Participants also shared their views about the programme.
Altogether, 42 persons consisting employees of Govt. Organizations, private establishments, students & teachers from schools and general public attended the training programme. Certificates were also distributed to the participants by the chief guest.
