Diglipur, August 19: In a major breakthrough, the staff of Wildlife Division Diglipur, while checking an Engine Dinghy at Arial Bay Jetty, seized huge amount of venison packed in polythene bags of 1 Kilogram each.
According to reports, the lady had reportedly kept the packets of venison hidden under vegetables, she brought from Smith Island and while the forest officials were checking the Dinghy, out of fear the lady threw all the packets of venison into the sea.
But when the venison packets started floating on the sea, the forest officials immediately inquired and identified that the Venison belonged to the lady.
It has been learnt that a case has been registered against the lady and a fine has also been imposed against her.
