Port Blair, Apr 19: President, Gram Sudhar Sangham (GSS), Mr. A P Mohammed today said that the attitude of Administration is hurting the tsunami affected farmers, who have lost their land in 2004 tsunami.
“It hurts that Administration feels that we are animals and not human beings. It’s almost eight years since tsunami but still we did not get compensation,” Mohammed told media today after his arrest.
He said that agitating farmers would accept nothing less than the compensation amount or a written assurance the compensation will be paid within specific time.
“We are peace loving people but we were bound to block road today,” he added.
