Port Blair, Apr 18: The Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association has conducted a Mass Demonstration in front of the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Van Sadan) at Haddo, Port Blair yesterday demanding immediate restructuring of the Forest Clerical Cadre as has been done in the case of Amalgamated Clerical Cadre of the A & N Administration.
A large number of employees including women employees belonging to the Forest Clerical Cadre participated in the Mass Demonstration. Mr. S. Surender, Vice President and Mr. D. Ayyappan, General Secretary addressed the gathering.
They said that the Administration is adopting a step-motherly treatment towards the demand of the employees belonging to the Forest Clerical Cadre and demanded immediate restructuring of the Forest Clerical Cadre considering the stagnation among the employees. Mr. Raj Kumar Saw, Vice President, Mr. R. Rajendran, Organising Secretary and Mr. Adinarayan led the programme.
