Diglipur, June 12: Tributes were paid to the former member of parliament from A & N Islands , Shri Manoranjan Bhakta at Congress office at Diglipur Today. Along with the other party members Shri Nagen Haldar EX-Adhyaksh, Pramukh Shri. Gauranga Dutta paid floral tributes to his photo frame at AICC office at Diglipur.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nelson Prasad, Convener AAP A&N Islands along with the Executive Committee members have expressed deepest condolences to the family members of Late Manoranjan Bhakta, an eight time MP of A&N Islands.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was held at Gandhi Bhavan at 11 A M on June 13 to pay homage to the departed soul of Shri Manoranjan Bhakta, ex Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, who breathed his last in the evening of 12.06.2015 at his residence at Salt Lake, Kolkata after a prolong illness.
After observing 2 minute silence by the gartering present, floral tribute were paid by Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President ANTCC followed by leaders of ANTCC and many well wishers of Shri Bhakta who were present at occasion.
Various contribution made by Shri.Bhakta as Member of Parliament towards the development of the Islands and the Islanders were recalled by Smt.Shanta Laxman Singh, President Mahila Congress.
