Port Blair, Apr 17: R Mohan, State President has requested the Lt Governor and the Chief Secretary to immediately release the fund of Rs. 130.35 Crores which was received a long back from the Central Government to the Tsunami victims whose lands have been submerged.
In his letter he had also mentioned of the news published in local media that the Lt Governor had proceeded to Delhi to meet the concerned Ministry to discuss on the issue of Tsunami relief, but the public is still waiting to know the outcome of his visit, which may be made public immediately.
Mohan has also informed to the Lt Governor and the Chief Secretary that in case immediate action is not initiated, then the Party will join the agitation of the Gram Sudhar Sangam of Stewart Gunj.
