Port Blair, May 01: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred at a depth of 10 kms in the ocean part on 1st May, 2015 at 1428 hours (IST) in the Andaman Islands close to Little Andaman (45 kms near landmass of Little Andaman).
According to reports soon after the quake people at Hut Bay came out of their home out of fear but later everything became normal. There was clear panic for sometimes.
As per details, the epicentre of the quake was at 10.77 North Latitude and 91.98 East Longitude.
The earthquake was felt at Little Andaman Island but was not felt elsewhere in the territory. No damages have been reported. Situation is normal in A&N Islands and is being closely monitored.
