Diglipur, Apr 29: Heavy thunders followed by lightening, which occurred yesterday at Subhashgram , Ward No.4 damaged electrical equipments of several houses.
House hold items like Fridge Washing Machine, Television and also all electrical wirings of Mr. Nani Gopal Das and nearby houses have been totally damaged.
About 15 Arica nut trees also suffered the burnt. Luckily no one was at home at the time of lightening. Electricity Department officials visited the affected houses today morning and asked to rectify the damaged wirings so that power connections can been given to them once again.
