Port Blair, Apr 20: The Secretary (RD/Panchayat) had an extensive tour of Little Andaman on 17.04.2015 and visited all the 04 Gram Panchayats under the jurisdiction of Panchayat Samiti, Little Andaman. He took stock of the various developmental activities and the works carried out by the PRIs as shown to him during his visit. He also inspected the on-going works and the permanent shelters of Onge and Farm Tikries.
During the visit, he was accompanied by the Up-Pramukh of the Panchayat Samiti, concerned Pradhans, PRI members and the officials.
In the evening, he also held a meeting in the APWD Guest House with the PRI members and local Head of Offices of the line departments and directed all concerned to attend in time bound manner to the issues raised by the PRIs during his visit and the meeting.
