Port Blair, Apt 09: Miss V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha along with Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Smti G. Tamilarasi, Zilla Parishad Member and official of Engineering Wing visited Calicut village under Brichgunj Panchayat and inspected the ongoing works such as “Construction of 5 Nos. Box Culverts near Aboo Plantation, Construction of proposed retaining wall near the temple at Calicut.” She also visited the road connecting from main road to Tsunami Shelter. She asked the residents to remove the obstruction from the proposed road without which the road work cannot be executed. Further she visited ongoing works undertaken by Zilla Parishad in Beodnabad, Gram Panchayat. She instructed the Engineering Wing to complete the water supply project at the earliest so that the problems of villagers in getting drinking water is resolved.
