Port Blair, Jan 04: A crocodile was sighted by visitors today at Chidiya Tapu beach. According to reports at 5.00 pm nearly 20 visitors who were enjoying in sea came out running after a few of them sighted the crocodile. None of them went inside water after sighting of croc. Two vehicles of ANC were also present at the beach at that time.
However the forest guard present at the Beach took the incident very lightly. Later sources in Forest Department Confirmed that even forest staffs had sighted crocodile at the beach near the Chidiyatapu Shop area, close to Main Gate on Saturday evening.
