Port Blair, Dec 19: A moderate intensity tremor hit the Nicobar group of Islands on Friday. Measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale, the tremor hit the coast off the west coast of Nicobar Islands at about 8.05 am with epicentre at Lat. 7.5°N, Long 94.3°E at depth of 10 km, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. However, no loss of life and property was reported.
