Port Blair, Dec. 19: The Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray met Shri P.K.Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Power, New Delhi, in his chamber in New Delhi on Wednesday and discussed the issues relating to the regularization of past services with all consequential benefits of 495 posts of Mazdoors in the Electricity Department, A&N Administration in compliance with the High Court order dated 9/4/2014. He also discussed the issue for creation of the post of Chief Engineer in the Electricity Department.
According to a letter addressed by the MP to the Secretary (Power), A&N Administration, a copy of which was released to the press here, during the discussion the Secretary (Power), GoI, stated that the proposal of the A & N Administration is pending in the Ministry for want of clarification from the A&N Administration.
However, the Secretary, Ministry of Power assured the MP that he would extend all possible efforts for obtaining approval of the proposal of A & N Administration from the competent authority in the Ministry. In the meanwhile, the MP requested the Administration to furnish the requisite information to the Ministry of Power, the letter added.
