Port Blair, Nov 25: The new Chief of Staff for the Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC), Maj Gen PK Siwach has assumed charge this month. He would be the chief advisor on staff matters to the Commander-in-Chief of the ANC, Vice Adml Pradeep Kumar Chatterjee.
Maj. Gen. Siwach has commanded different units in various sectors in the past and has also served the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur as the Defence Attaché. He has been one of those instrumental in formulating the military policy and has headed a few of the training institutes of Indian Army as well. In an informal media interaction in Port Blair, he said the only integrated command in the country, the ANC, is an inspiring joint command.
