Port Blair, Nov.19: Miss V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman participated in the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan organized by the A&N Administration at Havelock Islands on 18.11.2014 with a view to provide clean and healthy environment to these Islands and to the visiting tourist.
The campaign was organized with active involvement of school students, pradhans, panchayat samiti Member, Zilla Parishad Member Additional District Magistrate and other officials, staff including hoteliers and the general public. During this Abhiyan Radhanagar beach area was intensively cleaned up and rally of school Children was also conducted.
Thereafter Miss V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman in her address to the general public said that we should inculcate the importance of cleanliness and the sense of responsibility among one and all from childhood to keep these Islands clean and beautiful. She also addressed the school children and explained the importance of cleanliness in life.
