Port Blair, Oct 16: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration have constituted a committee to go into the whole matter of removal of the Statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from Subhash Gram of Diglipur.
According to an office order, which reached Diglipur today, the Chief Secretary of A & N Administration wrote that when issue was analysed, certain irregularities have come to the fore and appears to be not in consonance with the recent orders of the Hon’ble Supreme court.
“In view of this, the A & N Administration has decided to appoint a Committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary (Revenue),with Secretary (Law) and Deputy Commissioner (N & M) as other Members to go into the whole matter and, thereafter, submits its report to the Lt. Governor. Further action in the matter will be taken after the receipt of this report,” the Chief Secretary mentioned.
