Port Blair, Sept 29: The Directorate of Tourism has selected 16 unemployed youths from the Islands to undergo free training as per Govt. of India’s Scheme “Hunar Se Rozgar Tak” for capacity building in the field of Hospitality Sector in trades like Food Production and Food & Beverage at the National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM) Hyderabad. The selected candidates have left Port Blair on 29/09/2014 by M.V. Nancowry and they are expected to reach Hyderabad on 04.10.2014. The training is free of cost and stipend will also be given to the trainees to meet their expenses towards boarding and lodging. The cost of their travel will also be reimbursed on successful completion of the course by the Directorate. The duration of the course for Food Production and Food & Beverage is 90 days & 75 days respectively.
Next such course for capacity building in the field of Hospitality Sector at NITHM, Hyderabad will commence from 1st January, 2015 for which the interested candidates may approach the Directorate of Tourism from last week of November 2014.
