Port Blair, Sept 05: The A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd. has orgainsed a Mega Account opening campaign under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) on the occasion of Teacher’s Day at Tagore College, Middle Point, Port Blair.
At the beginning, Dr. Sudhan Rao, Principal in-charge welcomed all the bank officials, Faculties and students on the occasion. The programme begins with an introductory note by Shri. Raghubir Singh, Assistant General Manager of the bank followed by power point presentation by Shri. M K Rajan Kunju, Deputy General Manager. Shri. Abhinav Pal, Assistant General Manager (IT) explained the benefits of RUPAY debit cards to the students. The benefits of Account opening under PMJDY i.e. Insurance coverage, Life cover and issuance of Rupay cards was also elaborated in detail. The Bank has set up three teams in the College under the supervision of Shri. Sahin Rashid, Manager which had assisted students to open their bank accounts.
