Port Blair, Aug 25: Parent of a child, having blood cancer, today reached Port Blair airport to board flight for Chennai. Poor parents because of ill-advise, took infant ticket for the child, who is two year and eight months old.
At the airport the staffs of Jet Airways refused to take the child, Chetan Singh, in infant ticket and when the parents were informed about the matter they purchased a full ticket immediately from Jet Airways.
But for unknown reasons the child was not allowed the board the aircraft even after the parents were made to buy a full ticket.
Poor and helpless parents kept on pleading that they are going for treatment of the child but their requests were not heard. However they were assured that with the same tickets tomorrow they will be allowed to fly but till late evening no call came from the side of Jet Airways. However, Jet Airways officials could not be reached immediately for a comment in this entire episode and such behaviour.
Very sad to note such unhearted behaviour..
