Port Blair, Aug 24: On 20/08/14, acting on a tip of information, a police team of Special Branch (CID) and Central Crime Station comprising of HCs K.O. Varghese, Suden Dey, Ibrahim Ali, PCs Manpal Singh, S.K. Dung Dung, Somasekhar Rao, P. Binoy, Milton Baul led by Inspector S.S. Rathore, SHO PS CCS, Port Blair conducted raid at Shore Point near Ram Mandir, Bambooflat and recovered 10 Kg meat suspected to be Wild Boar meat from the possession of one U. Yerriha S/o Shri U. Kamraj R/o Papita Pahar, Wright Myo.
The suspected wild Boar meat was seized U/s 51 of Wildlife Protection Act 1972 and later handed over to the Range officer, Mannarghat along with detained person for further necessary action.
