Port Blair, Aug. 21: The services of Part time Attenders working in the Education Department were discontinued at the end of the academic session 2013-14.
Consequent upon that, Mr. B. P. Ray, Member of Parliament had raised the issue before the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands and requested for re-engagement of retrenched Part Time Attenders in the current academic session 2014-15.
In pursuant to that the Director Education has re-engaged 137 No’s retrenched part time attender on fixed remuneration of Rs: 5000/- per month in the Education Department for the academic session 2014-15.
The Member of Parliament has expressed his gratitude to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and to the A & N Administration for the same.
