Port Blair, Aug 10: The SP South Andaman today informed public that total 253 (141 at PS Aberdeen, 82 at PS Pahargaon & 30 at PS Chatham) Unclaimed vehicles are laying for disposal, whose details are available at notice boards of respective Police Stations as well as in the Daily Telegrams published on 3rd July,14. Additionally 41 kgs Bronze and 53 Kg Aluminium is lying at PS Chatham for disposal.
“The Police department is going to dispose off the above vehicles/items by way of public auction at the premises of Police Station where at vehicles & other items are kept seized. The participants/interested persons can inspect the vehicle at respective PSs w.e.f. 11/08/14 and can register their names with SHOs of the PS by paying Rs. 2000/- (rupees two thousand only) each vehicle for lot-I and for lot- II (in bulk) an amount of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand) from 12/04/14 onwards till two hour before of the commencement of auction. For 41 kgs Bronze Rs. 10,000/-and 53 Kg Aluminium Rs. 3000/- also required to be deposited,” the SP said.
The public auction scheduled to be held on 14/08/14 (Thursday) at 1000 hrs at PS Aberdeen and on 16/08/14 (Saturday) at 1000 hrs at PS Pahargaon and 1400 hrs. at PS Chatham.
