Port Blair, July 31: The Pahargaon police have solved two temple theft eases. The 1st temple theft was reported on 1st of July in Markanday Mata Dev Police Temple (Austinabad) for breaking of donation box and theft of donation money & in second case reported on 13th July for stolen of gold ornaments and idol from the temple of Hari Mandir Situated at New Pahargaon in the intervening night of 12-13 July, 2014, of suspects and gathering intelligence over long period, two juveniles in conflict with law have been apprehended by Pahargaon police on 29th July. They have been handed to the Special Juvenile Police Unit of PS Pahargaon. On questioning, both confessed their guilt and disclosed that they sold the gold ornaments to one Sanjay Roy (30) yrs. r/o Bengali Basti, Prothrapur through one A. Raja (28) yrs. r/o Bhatu Basti on commission. The stolen gold has been recovered from their possession. Both were arrested and recovered stolen gold from them and both were remanded to judicial custody by the Hon’ble Court.
The two juvenile delinquents have been handed over to their parents with direction to produce them before the Hon’ble Juvenile Justice Board, Port Blair on 31.07.2014. Further investigation is under progress.
