Regional training camp of NSSO

Port Blair, June 16: Field Operations Division of National Sample Survey Office under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Govt. of India is organising a Regional Training Camp from 18^th June 2014 to 20^th June 2014 in the Conference Hall of Press Information Bureau, CGO Complex, Ranchi Basthi, Port Blair. Mr. K.P. Unnikrishnan, Deputy Director General (SZ), National Sample Survey Office (FOD), Bangalore will inaugurate the camp. Mr. P.K. Santhosh, Assistant Director, NSSO (FOD), Port Bair will conduct the camp. In the camp necessary training will be imparted to the officials to carry out the Socio-Economic Survey of the 72^nd round of NSSO. This round of survey is earmarked for surveys on ‘Domestic Tourism Expenditure’, ‘Household Expenditure on Services and Durable Goods’, ‘Household Consumer Expenditure, ‘Household Consumer Expenditure with details of Food Consumption’ and ‘Household Consumer Expenditure with details of Non-Food Consumption’. In Andaman and Nicobar lslands, 36 urban blocks and 36 villages will be surveyed during the period July, 2014 to June, 2015.
