Port Blair, May 02: In a very sad incident a girl from Dairy Farm area, studying in Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET) Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh committed suicide inside her room of Sri Lakshmi International Girls’ Hostel.
According to reports, Sadhna (name Changed), 4th year B-Tech, CIVIL Engineering, committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling on April 30 at evening hours but her body was found only on the next day. According to unconfirmed report the body was shifted to hospital after a gap of more than 24 hours, which shows irresponsibility of the college authorities.
The reason behind this suicide is not yet known and the college authorities seem to be hiding the news from media. The father of the girl today reached the Chittoor for claiming the body and conducting last rites, it is learnt.
