Port Blair, Apt 16: A gang of Petrol Thieves has made life of people, living in RGT road to JNRM boys Hostel area, miserable since last several months. People living in the area complain that petrol from their bikes is frequently stolen at night hours.
According to reports the Petrol Thieves usually target bikes kept outside at night hours and remove the petrol pipe to steal petrol.
Yesterday some residents of RGT Road had almost caught on such thieve red handed but by before PCR van could reach the spot the thief had escaped in a fancy bike.
Those who keep their bike outside the Boys’ hostel at night also reported such petrol loss. “Even when there are security guards outside the JNRM gates, the petrol thieves manage to steal petrol from our bikes,” said a student of JNRM.
