Port Blair, Mar 21: Andaman Sheekha team deeply mourns the sad demise of Shri. Jagadish Mandal, father of Andaman Sheekha correspondent Dr. P K Mandal (Trinath), Billyground. He was 82 years old and was not keeping well since a long time.
Shri Jagadish Mandal, who came to Andaman and Nicobar Islands under RVD (Rastriya Vikas Dal) Scheme, had settled at Billyground area. He had served the Revenue Department as Chaudhury for more than 35 years at Harinagar area.
Shri Mandal was well known for his kind behavior and helpful nature among public of North and Middle Andaman.
He is survived by his wife Kalidasi Mandal, three sons Dr. P K Mandal, Dr. S K Mandal, Mr. Purnendu Mandal and three daughters. His last right will be performed tomorrow at 11.00 am.
