Port Blair, Mar 09: To mark the International Women’s Day on 8th march 2014 Andaman People Theatre Association ( APTA) in collaboration with the department of Arts & Culture A & N Administration organized a day long Theatre Work shop exclusive for Women Theatre workers of the islands at Andaman Club from 2.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m.
The workshop was conducted by Naresh Chander Lal Theatre Director and all together 30 female theatre artistes took part in the workshop. Miss Mumtaz head of the office and program of AIR Port Blair was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr.Rashida Iqbal in-charge culture A & N Administration was the Guest of Honour.
Miss Mumtaz assured for the all help for promotion of drama in the islands through All India Radio and Dr. Rashida Iqbal in-charge culture appreciated the women theatre artistes for attending the workshop. Naresh Chander Lal given the training for speech, expressions, body movement, costume, set properties, make-up, lighting and the basic knowledge to do a good theatre.
