Port Blair, Feb 23: To commemorate the 15th International Mother Tongue Day, a cultural get-together was organized by the Aditya Natya Academy, in. its premises at 31, M.G.Road, Middle Point, Port Blair -744101 on 21st February, 2014 at 1930 Hrs. Mr. Chittaranjan Roy, the In-charge, Chouldari Govt. Middle School was the Chief Guest on the occasion .The Chief Guest, Mr. Chittaranjan Roy and Sri. S.K. Chatterjee, the Ex- General Secretary of the Academy spoke at length on the significance of observance of the day. A couple of songs, poetry recital presented by Mr. B.K. Talukder, famous Folk Singer as well as the members and local artistes. Lastly a musical future titled ‘AA- MORI BANGLA BHAASHA’ complied by Mr. Nanda Lai Debsharma presented by Mr. N.L. Debsharma and Mrs. Kaveri Debsharma. The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by the General Secretary Sunil Kumar Nath.
