Port Blair, Jan 20: A & N State Co-operative Bank organized an awareness on Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy at Swadesh Nagar and Shanthipur on 17.01.2014 and Billiground on 19.01.2014.
Mr. Nirmal Mondal, Branch Manager welcomed the gathering and explain in detail about the programme.
Smti. Elizabeth Mary, Women development Officer, A&N SCB Ltd. explain in detail about the concept of the SHG and its benefits of all the scheme specially for womens and also requested to the Pradhan and PRI members for wide publicity about the objectives and the benefits of the programme among the villagers.
Mr. K.K.Halder, AGM, A&N SCB Ltd. Rangat explain in detail about the awareness on financial inclusion and financial literacy and its benefits and also urged the people to avail different type of scheme especially for women flock and their kids.
Mr. Hiranmay Roy, Pradhan also addressed the gathering and urged the people to avail the benefits and best opportunity to open S/B account through Co-operative Bank.
Smti. Arothi Mondal, Pramukh, Smti. Panchavarnam, Zilla Parisad member, Nimbutala also attended and urged the people to avail the benefits through Co-op Bank for self employment. An interactive session with all the participants was also held in which all the deposits scheme, loan scheme income generating activity were discussed. The programme ended with vote of thanks to the chair proposed by Mr. Nirmal Mondal Branch Manager, Billiground. Altogether 300 participants from seventy SHG were attended.
