Doctors in CMSH remove massive spleen of size 20x15cm though key-hole surgery
Port Blair, Jan 03: In a major breakthrough in the field of medical treatment of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Chakraborty Multi Speciality Hospital Dollygunj, Port Blair has performed laparoscopic splenectomy and successfully removed a massive spleen of size 20x15cm though key hole surgery. This amazing feat is performed by Dr. Jignesh Gandhi and Dr. Vidyanand (Consultant laparoscopic surgeon).
Dr. Jignesh Gandhi is a Gastro Intestinal surgeon, unit head of surgery at the prestigious KEM (KING EDWARD MEMORIAL) Hospital Mumbai and is also attached to Fortis and Global Hospital (Mumbai) with an extensive national and international experience of doing advanced laparoscopic GI (Gastro Intestinal) surgery as well as imparting teaching to young surgeon’s about the nitty-gritty of laparoscopic surgery. Dr Jignesh Gandhi has joined Chakraborty Multi Speciality Hospital as a visiting GI surgeon (once a month). He is also an expert in liver transplantation.
