  1. My greetings to the islands, for a peaceful 2014.

I send you the mail, as sent to Shri Pankaj Seksariaji.

    Dear Shri. Pankajji,

This is a reply I got from my good friend who is a very old manufacturer of UPS, Solar,LED, Plasma lighting
systems. He is a fellow radio ham and Rotary President.

I went through the content of the MAIL GIVEN BELOW by your good self, which clearly shows that the plant is no more useful after 5 years at ANDAMAN.

Generally the SOLAR PANELS are meant for 20 years working and I am sure the panels should be in good condition since it was supplied by BHEL.

What would have went wrong would be the BATTERIES and INVERTERS.

Today too good INVERTERS are available and good quality BATTERIES are also available. I am sure the expenses should not be more than 30 to 40 lakhs for a 50 KW POWER PLANT to bring back in to working.

As the last Radio Officer of the SS Cholunga, I can take responsibility to get this restored, if right people
are interested to see the 50 KW Power pumped back into the Islands veins. I have a very deep attachment
to the islands and I swear it on the soul of my close, late, friend David Botting. (Navigating Officer)

We have Plasma outdoor lights – most useful to all Islands jettys, road intersections and most important spots.
Uses 40 to 80% less power than normal Sodium vapour lamps but covers double the normal area, with 10 years life.

These already in use at Bangalore Airport and many places. I represent the manufacturers (Indian) and we both
can come to give a presentation, if there is a real need and island authorities show interest

I am already servicing and supplying major power supply units of Power Grid, Vizag and Nagpur.

The mail sent to your kind mail to moderate and circulate if deem fit proper.

    Thank you and Best wishes
