Port Blair, Dec 20: To submit the pathetic condition of the employees of ANI Forest and Plantation Development condition before the Government of India, a day-long dharna was organized before the office of the Corporation at Hut Bay from 8 AM to 5 PM on 19th December, 2013 under the leadership of Vasudevan Nair, PRI member of Little Andaman along with Palanichamy, Raju Varghese, Samir and the Secretary of ANI FPDC Employees Union Nimai Ghosh.
They have demanded from the Govt. of India for immediate order of uninterrupted disbursement of salary and wages to the staff of the corporation implementation of Vth and VIth Pay commission to workers, VIth pay commission to the employees and handing over the management of the Corporation to the AN Administration.
Vasudevan told that this is a token agitation, which will further be organized in near future in case the Govt of India does not give consideration to their legitimate demands.
There should be no plausible reasons why salary/wages of the employees be denied/delayed for no fault of theirs, the potential of whom was solely responsible for earning the exalted position by ANIFPDCL years ago, said the speakers.
